CERAMIC BRUSSELS: ALEV EBÜZZİYA, ELİF URAS, HERA BÜYÜKTAŞCIYAN, LARA ÖGEL, MEHTAP BAYDU, NERMİN KURA
Overview
A18
For the 2026 edition of Ceramic Brussels, Galerist and Galeri Nev present Thread – a joint presentation featuring works by Alev Ebüzziya Siesbye, Elif Uras, Nermin Kura, Mehtap Baydu, Hera Büyüktaşcıyan, and Lara Ögel.
Thread follows a quiet line through generations of women artists whose practices, while distinct in form and language, share a mutual sensibility. Their works weave together reflections on memory, belonging, and the body’s dialogue with clay. What connects these artists is not a theme reflected in their works, but a quiet harmony that unfolds through material, intuition, and touch. Their art carries an eloquence that is both crafted and instinctive, shaped by gestures of continuity and care.
In Thread, the act of joining becomes a gentle stitching together of voices that remain independent yet in conversation, creating an open space where individuality and interconnection coexist – bound by an enduring sensitivity to transformation and the marks of making.
