ARTIST RESIDENCY | LITHO DAYS IN TURKEY, DOU PRINT STUDIO, ANKARA

Burcu Yağcıoğlu was at Dou Print Studio for the second edition of Litho Days in Turkey, which is curated by Elâ Atakan. The works produced during the programme, in which 8 guest artists from Turkey and Europe are invited, will be exhibited at Ka from November 24 to December 30, 2023.

Burcu Yağcıoğlu’s work Calx is currently on display as part of the exhibition Stones from the Sea, curated by Elâ Atakan, until December 30, 2023. Having opened at Ka, Ankara on 24 November as part of the second edition of Dou Print Studio’s Litho Days in Turkey, the exhibition takes its inspiration from the word lithos [λıθος], which means “stone” in its purest form. The origin of this word is the Ancient Greek λᾶς, which means stone from the sea.
