Özsoy, Türkiye's first opera, was commissioned by Mustafa Kemal for a visit of the Shah of Iran, Reza Pahlavi, to Türkiye, It tells the story of twin brothers, Tur (Wolf) and Iraj (Lion), who are separated at birth by the wrath of the devil. Centuries later, they meet again and realize that they are brothers.
